Bizan Ropeway Discounts

Posted on

Good news for fans of Mt. Bizan or those looking for a cheap way to climb the mountain with family and friends. The Bizan ropeway is offering discounted tickets at 500 yen for adults for a round trip. In other words, a full 50% off the normal price!

But how?

This deal is for customers of Sogo, Amico, and the Tokyu Inn. If you make a purchase at either Amico or Sogo, or stay at the Tokyu Inn, take your receipt to the information counter on 1F for Amico, 2F for Sogo, or the front desk of the Tokyu Inn and you can get your ticket there.

That’s all there is to it, so happy shopping, and happy climbing!

  1. Is there a minimum purchase that must be made before they issue the discount tickets? When I’m in Tokushima I often stop by the import shop “Jupiter” but rarely spend more than ¥1,000 or so. It’s been almost three years since I last rode the ropeway. For ¥500 it would be a nice… er… ride… up… memory lane. (rimshot!)

  2. Good point. I asked the staff about this and they told me that there wasn’t any minimum purchase to become eligible for the ticket. As long as you have a receipt for one of those three places you should be fine.

What you do need to be aware of is that the ticket is only valid for the day of purchase. This means you can’t just rock up with a receipt from the other day – you need to get something on the day you are planning on using the ropeway.
